School Publicist - Get the Word Out!

Learn how to market and publicize your school's events, sports, clubs, and happenings.  Work with the Manchester School District Communications Director, your school principal, local newspapers, radio stations, and Manchester Public Television/Radio to get the word out about what's happening at your school.

Learn Marketing in real world situations that bring people out to school events and build an audience for student activities in Manchester.  Use social media, audio and video recordings, create your school's YouTube Channel, and promote all that is good and news about your school to parents, businesses and the greater Manchester community.

"Help Desk" IT Team

Work with Manchester School District's "IT Team" and your school's IT leaders in maintaining and supporting Information Technology throughout your school.  Learn to diagnose and recommend repairs, and assist staff and students in using IT to support learning.  Create short videos that "teach" skills and tasks for staff, students and parents in support of learning -- and build a "Instructional Video Database" that everyone can access to learn tricks, skills and better use technology to meet learning goals.

Develop your IT credentials by completing coursework for Cisco, MicroSoft, Google, and Apple that increase your employment opportunities.  Self-design you own goals over additional semesters as you grow expertise and expand your skills.  Craft solutions for school and city-wide technology concerns that grow our community.  Partner with IT firms around the city in rolling out a city-wide, student-driven IT plan for all citizens.

If you can imagine it, you can become it.  Become an IT leader!
